Municipal Government

This site was created by the City Of Angoon for the purpose of sharing that which is to be shared with the people of the municipality.

it is the intention of the City Of Angoon to be "tranparent" and helpful in the education of the public as to the workings of the government which is run by the elected officials and a staff carefully selected by that governing body and administration.

Admiralty Island

The forests are home to the highest concentrations of brown bears in the world, as well as thousands of bald eagles, Sitka Black-tailed Deer, boreal toads, and all five species of Alaskan salmon.
The Kootznoowoo Wilderness includes the village of Angoon, and Native lands along the island's western shore
